Move with Africa - The students of S6MOR FR and Sainte-Marie la Sagesse de Schaerbeek are preparing for the trip to Rwanda with the NGO "Lumière pour le Monde"
This year, the project Move with Africa will go to Rwanda with the NGO " Lumière pour le Monde", which works closely with local partners in the DRC, Rwanda and Tanzania, and whose aim is the fight against avoidable blindness and for the integration of people with visual impairment in Africa.
In order to prepare for their next contact in Rwanda with blind and visually impaired children, the students decided to go to Brussels to run workshops for visually impaired children.
For two consecutive Wednesdays, the pupils of the European School in Ixelles and those of Sainte-Marie la Sagesse in Schaerbeek went to the Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind in Uccle. A unique experience that marks the beginning of a wonderful adventure in the name of inclusion and respect for human beings, beyond the handicaps and differences of their origins, places of residence or nationality.
