Meeting with Education Council members on teaching system after the Easter break

At an extraordinary meeting on 10 March, the APEEE Board exchanged views with all Primary/Nursery and Secondary Education Council members about the teaching system to be applied after return from the Easter holidays.

There was no clear majority in favour of any option (one on-line week versus immediate on-site schooling), and therefore it was concluded that the parents' representatives on the Board were not in a position to express an opinion and did not wish to interfere with a decision made by the school management.

The APEEE Board acknowledged that parental opinions on both policy directions were polarised, divisive as well as very emotionally-driven depending on family and other individual considerations, which would not allow any representative opinion to be clearly shared with the school management.
