Dear EEB3 pupils and Parents,

I'ld like to inform you of the Kiss & Ride Survey results.

During June and the Summer holiday, many parents took the time to respond. Some parents were disappointed for not being able to start or finish their response, due to various unfortunate small technical or organizational inconsistencies.

The survey addressed old and adapted and preferred ways of getting children on time into the school premises since the terrorist threat in February this year and the consequent closing of the EEB3 garage for parents although the school has issued vignettes to those parents with handicapped children who need to enter the school. The survey also addressed the Kiss & Ride initiative and the self-management part of it in terms of hands-on volunteers. Next to this it allowed to opt out or in the K&R petition list.

The APEEE CA, board and president are now lobbying and will present both survey and petition to the school direction early October 2015.

May I thank you for your tremendous response and feedback!

Rob Kloots

Initiative leader of the Kiss & Ride proposition and Survey.

P.S. if you still want to join the petition, please send an email to eeb3@schoolsponsoring.nl  with your first and last name.

So here are the detailed results and some history.

1st day result: 357 responses;

Beginning of July 457 responses;

Today a total of 820 responses, of which over 500 valid responses.

The survey addressed old and adapted and preferred ways of getting children into the school premises since the terrorist threat in February this year and the consequent closing of the EEB3 garage for parents. It addressed the Kiss & Ride initiative and the self-management part of it in terms of getting children out of the cars and into the school facilities, to be done by hands-on volunteers of which 43 presented themselves.

Next to this it allowed to opt out or in the K&R petition list.  Although the survey brought K&R to the attention of the parents, many prefer the old situation improved with an identity check. Some questioned the 'honesty' of the survey as ...

There was also a request to support a petition. Still many agree with that petition.

Overall a tremendous support to bring a petition to the school direction.

I'll keep you posted.
