Christmas Solidarity Initiative

The Catholic Religion teachers of the EEB3 are collecting donations from Monday 11th of November until Thursday 5th of December in order to redistribute them across various charity centers during the following week-end.

What can we contribute?
Here are some examples of items that can be included in the solidarity bags:
•    Non-perishable food items: pasta, cereals, canned goods, dry products, etc.
•    Personal hygiene products: shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.
•    New toys: a small gift that your child can choose and buy with their pocket money.
•    Children’s books in French, English, or Spanish.
•    Warm clothing for adults.

Donations can be brought to the Religion class during the weekly lesson or delivered directly to Mr Garry’s office. (Ixelles Deputy Director – Secondary School)

Deadline for donations:
•    Thursday, 5 December. The collected items will then be transported to the Uccle canteen to prepare the packages, which will be distributed on Saturday, 7 December and Sunday, 8 December in the morning.

 

Would you like to help further?
Those who wish to assist with preparing the packages on Friday, 6 December from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. are warmly welcome at the Uccle canteen. You can also participate in the distribution on Saturday, 7 December and Sunday, 8 December.

•    Secular centres providing support to refugees and homeless individuals
•    The Clair Matin Centre (Uccle) and others
•    Religious centres assisting immigrant adults and children
•    Red Cross centres and others
