Musical adaptation by Denise Monas based on the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, with original music by Geppy Amoruso.
The show, one of the most important of Le Piccole Canaglie, features than 15 original songs, an impressive set and images projected on giant screens, and involves 120 actors, including 100 children and teenagers aged 4 to 17, and 60 technicians working backstage for 3 performances more than 200 costumes. Subtitles in English and French.
The story is about a young prince who is cursed by an enchantress because of his selfishness and cruelty. He is transformed into a horrible beast and his soul imprisoned in a rose. To survive, the prince must reunite with his soul… but only a disinterested and pure love can help him.
Beauty and the Beast is a famous European fairy tale, with many variants, whose origins could be traced back to one of Apuleius’ stories on the Metamorphosis, ‘Cupid and Psyche’. Walt Disney transformed it into a sweet story, with a strong and independent protagonist. Le Piccole Canaglie rediscover its darkest sides and bring its moral teachings on stage.

Uno degli spettacoli più importanti de Le Piccole Canaglie, con 15 canzoni originali, 120 attori, di cui 100 bambini e ragazzi dai 4 ai 17 anni, 60 tecnici dietro le quinte per 3 repliche, una scenografia imponente, più di 200 costumi, e immagini proiettate su schermi giganti. Sottotitoli in inglese e francese.
La storia narra di un giovane principe che cade sotto la maledizione di un’Incantatrice a causa del suo egoismo e comportamento crudele. La sua anima viene imprigionata in una Rosa e il suo corpo trasformato in quello di una bestia orribile. Per poter sopravvivere, il principe dovrà ricongiungersi alla sua anima… ma solo un amore disinteressato e puro potrà aiutarlo.
La Bella e la Bestia è una famosa fiaba europea, diffusasi in molteplici varianti, le cui origini potrebbero risalire a una delle storie di Apuleio sulle Metamorfosi, ‘Amore e Psiche’. Walt Disney la trasformò in una dolce storiella, con la protagonista forte ed indipendente. Le Piccole Canaglie hanno voluto riscoprirne i lati più oscuri e metterne in scena gli spunti morali.
