The APEEE is involved in matters regrouping the European Schools of Brussels, within the Central Enrolment Authority and the Steering Committee of the Office of the Secretary-General of the European Schools (OSG).

The Central Enrolment Authority manages the student enrolment requests to the European Schools of Brussels. A member of the APEEE Management Board, on a voluntary basis, represents the APEEE Ixelles to the Central Enrolment Authority as an observer.

The Steering Committee Brussels discusses school capacity and infrastructure. The APEEE President represents the APEEE Ixelles to the Steering Committee. To this end, the APEEE further cooperates with the APEEEs of the other Brussels European schools on issues that particularly concern the European Schools in Brussels (such as the creation of an additional European school).

Within the system of the European Schools, the APEEE is represented through InterParents (IP).
